Alfred R Bunavicz

Alfred Robert “ Al “ Bunavicz a resident of Middleboro, formerly of Stoughton, passed away after a prolonged illness at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton on Friday March 11, 2016. He was 71 years old. He is survived by his 2 loving daughters, Karen L. Root and husband Roy W. Root Jr. of Middleboro and Susan L. Hearn and husband Richard J. Hearn of Bridgewater. Other survivors include his 8 grandchildren, Richard J. Hearn IV, Samantha M. Hearn, Matthew E. Gotham, Robert T. Gotham,Tyler D. Gotham, Emily M. Hearn, Abigail G. Hearn, William R. Hearn, his 3 sisters, Elaine Starkowsky and late husband Charles of Middleboro, Rita Dolan and late husband Tom of Lakeville, Eleanor Hadfield and late husband David of Holbrook and his brother Keith Bunavicz and wife Linda of East Bridgewater.

Born November 28, 1944 in Stoughton, Massachusetts he was a son born to the late Adolph F. and Alena L. (Astupanas) Bunavicz. He attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mr. Bunavicz proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed fishing and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

At his request, visiting hours have been omitted and all funeral services will be private.
