Walter Smith Obituary

Walter Bernard “Turtle” Smith of Stoughton, passed away on September 1, 2022 at age 61 from complications of Type 1 Diabetes.
Walter was the loving son of the late Dolores (Jones) Smith and the late Arnold Isaac Smith and the beloved uncle of Robert Phillip Smith, Jacquelyn Adeline Smith, and Margaret Dolores Smith. Walter was a devoted brother to the late Donna Carla Smith, Joseph Fleming Smith and his partner, Mary Long.
Walter’s big heart, sense of humor, and generous spirit will never be forgotten. He adored his family, his colleagues at work, golfing with his close friends, and sharing a laugh with those he loved.
At his request, all funeral arrangements will be private and in lieu of flowers, donations in Walter’s memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 or at jdrf.org
