Thomas Edward Bryan a longtime resident of Westwood and United States Navy Veteran passed away peacefully in Brockton on Sunday August 25, 2024. Mr. Bryan was 89 years old and the beloved husband of the late Sandra B. (Kirschner) Bryan. He is survived by his loving son Eric S. ‘Rick” Bryan of Westwood, his 4 beloved granddaughters, Megan, Shaylyn, Kelly and Molly, his four sisters, Helen, Frances, Carol and Rosemary, his two brothers, Primo (“Buster”) and Jack. He was also predeceased by his sister Shirley and his brother Charlie.
Born June 9, 1935, in Dedham, Massachusetts, Thomas was a son to the late Helen (Ryan) Bryan. He attended Dedham Public Schools and was a 1953’ graduate of Dedham High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1961. He was employed as a Foreman with the MBTA for many years and also worked for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for P. Gioioso & Sons Inc. a well-known General Construction Company based in Boston. His hobbies included gardening, making homemade wine, spending quality time with his family and he was also a great self - proclaimed auto mechanic. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visiting hours for Mr. Bryan will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. His funeral service will be held IN THE FUNERAL HOME on Friday August 30, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. followed by interment with United States Navy Military Honors at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
