Steven W. Ramsdell Sr.

April 30, 1958 ~ December 19, 2025 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Obituary

Steven Wade Ramsdell Sr., 67, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, passed away on December 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 30, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of the late Lloyd and Mona Ramsdell.

He is survived by his devoted children, Steven Ramsdell Jr. and Sarah Ramsdell; his cherished granddaughter, Nessa Finnegan; his siblings, Lynn Struck and her husband Bill and their children Billy, Mark, and Karen, and Mark Ramsdell and his wife Helen and their children Lydia and Luke; as well as numerous cousins, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

A man of deep faith, Steven believed in God with all his heart and soul. He loved his family and often found joy in simple celebrations, lifting his fist and proclaiming, “We are family!” He had a way of noticing people, quietly acknowledging the ones who might otherwise go unseen.

Steven took pride in what he accomplished in life. He earned an Associate’s degree in Business from Massasoit Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College. He worked at John Hancock for 23 years and spent 14 years as an independent truck driver. He enjoyed simple pleasures—working on home projects, from building a shed in earlier years to laying down a rug in his final months, and playing cards with family and friends.

Though the last year of his life brought challenges, those who knew Steven will remember his energy, his eccentric spirit, and his love for family. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, joy, and the unforgettable mark of a man who truly celebrated life in his own way.
