Stephen B. "Taz" Margolis, 58, lifelong resident of Stoughton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Stephen was a lifelong resident of Stoughton, born to Howard and Dorothy (Ceruti) Margolis on November 30, 1966.
Stephen, very well known as Taz, was self-employed first under Trac Auto and then as the proud owner of Trac Enterprise. His business was everything to him. In addition to work, Taz received numerous Uechi Ryu Karate black belts from the Okinawan Karate Club.
Steve also had a passion for MOPAR cars, football, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson and his dogs. You'd rarely see Steve without a cigar in his mouth and sunglasses on his head, rain or shine, dark or light. Later in his life, he built an incredible bond with his cousin David as the "pit crew chief", wrenching on his Plymouth Duster and racing at New England Dragway. Steve was also a proud member of The Society in Dedham for Apprehending Horse Thieves.
A beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, fiance, dog and cat dad, Steve leaves behind his brother Mark, sister Kimberly, his niece Nicole, who was the pride and joy of his life, great niece Maelani and his fiance and best friend Stephanie Sweetman, along with his dogs Buddy & Holly and cat Oreo. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Howie (Heshie) and Dottie, many aunts, uncles, his cousin David and his dogs Tiger and Dozer.
Stephen's legacy is one of kindness, wildness, dedication, and generosity. Stephen was known for being the guy who would give you the shirt off his back, and also the guy at the breakfast place. For those who were fortunate enough to know him, his beautiful spirit will be profoundly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 3pm to 6pm in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk St, Stoughton MA.
