Robert Anthony (Bobby) Dee, Formerly of Jamaica Plain, Brockton and Swansea, MA and Naples, FL left this earth on June 18, 2021
Bob was born on, October 25, 1931 to the late Teresa M. (McPhee) and Anthony J. Dee. Nancy (Crowe) Dee, his wife of 53 years and his second wife, Irene (Raposa) Dee of 12 years who passed away in January 2021, preceded him in death. He leaves sons Kevin and his wife Patty and granddaughter Kailey of Alaska and son Kenneth of Hull, MA and his grandchildren, Serena, Ronan and Declan, his sister Dorothy Cloherty of West Roxbury, MA as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was also preceded in death by his brother John (Jackie) and sister Mary Mara. Bob grew up in Jamaica Plain (Boston) he attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grammar and High School and Hyde Park High School after which Bob joined the Navy from 1949 to 1953. Bob worked as an employee of the New England Telephone & Telegraph CO. for the next 34 years. After retirement, he worked for 5 years as the Engineering Field Service Manager for Perception Technology. Bob and Nancy retired in 1991 and became snowbirds in Naples, Florida at the Crystal Lake RV Resort. After Nancys passing Bob met Irene Raposa in 2009, Bob & Irene were married and moved to Naples full time in 2016. Bob was very active volunteering at Crystal Lake
Bob loved sports, especially fishing. He loved to play golf and watch pro sports. He loved to cook as well and attending dinners and dancing. Bob was known as a great story and joke teller, especially Irish stories. Bob had a quick wit for everything. He always had a positive outlook and a smile on his face and loved having a good time. He will be missed. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Thursday, July 15th 2021 at 11:15am. All are welcome to attend. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Bob’s name.
