Paula T. (Hovestadt) Dearing, of Worcester, formerly of Brockton and Boston passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday February 20, 2016. She was the beloved wife of over 32 years to Walter H. “Skip” Dearing of Worcester and the loving mother of Mary Alice Dearing of Fall River. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Syniah Ashley of Milton, Kayla Vega of Fall River, her brother Frederick Hovestadt of Raynham and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also a sister to the late Edward Hovestadt, Jean Dolan and John Hovestadt.
Born January 15, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts Paula was a daughter to the late Frederick and Mary R. (Kelley) Hovestadt. She attended Brockton Public Schools and was a 1977 graduate of Brockton High School. She enjoyed embroidery and cross-stitching various clothing items for family and friends. Paula was also a friend of Bill W. and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A celebration of Paula’s life and memorial service will be held on Sunday February 28, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Rising Star Masonic Lodge,925 Pleasant Street, Rt. 139 in Stoughton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paula’s memory to the Rising Star Lodge Brotherhood Fund, ATTN: Wor. Sean J.
