Nicholas Galanis Obituary

Nicholas “Nicky” Paul Galanis of Brighton, formerly of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday May 8, 2021 in Norton. He was 30 years old and the beloved son of Jean M. (Climo) Galanis of Stoughton and Paul E. Galanis, formerly of Stoughton, now of Mansfield. He was the brother and best friend of the late Alexander “Alex” Galanis. Other survivors include Paul's wife Rosie Galanis and his siblings, Marcus Galanis, Thomas Galanis, Katie Sexton, Joe Sexton, Will Sexton and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nicky was also the cherished grandson of Alice T. Climo and her late husband George A. Climo Jr and the late Barbara A. Galanis all of Stoughton and a nephew to the late Patricia A. Climo. He also leaves behind his friend and companion Leah Kraft.

Nicky was born February 2, 1991 at the Newton - Wellesley Hospital. He attended Mansfield Public Schools and was a 2009' graduate of Mansfield High School. He also attended Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH. Nicky had a true passion for sports and music and loved Boston sports especially the New England Patriots.  He was the music magician and would play all genres of music depending on the moods of those that gathered around.   He was a kindhearted and compassionate man who loved the outdoors.  He treasured his family and will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure of walking in his path.

Visiting hours for Nicky will be held on Tuesday May 18, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. A funeral mass for Nicky will be held on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 330 Pratt Street, Rt. 106, Mansfield. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

PLEASE NOTE: Funeral procession to the church will be forming at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning and departing the funeral home by 9:30 a.m.

Interment will be private. (NOTE: MA STATE MANDATED COVID -19 PRECAUTIONS STILL IN EFFECT AT BOTH THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.)
