Kevin David Power, of Middleboro, MA, passed away on Monday, May 6th, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on February 15th, 1949, in Wimbledon, England, Kevin was a 1967 graduate of Weymouth North High School. Following his graduation, Kevin answered the call to serve and was a member of the Army Reserves for 6 years. Kevin's professional path was as diverse as it was storied, with stints at Quincy Shipyard, Westinghouse, Ryan Iron Works, and twenty years as a mail carrier in Boston. His work ethic and integrity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Kevin loved his family. He was the cherished son of Donald Power, hailing from Quincy, MA, and Katherine (Scott) Power, originally of Wimbledon, England. Kevin shared a special bond with his brothers, Patrick Power and Terrence Power. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ann (Nancy Keenan) Power, with whom he shared countless cherished memories and adventures. Together, they built a legacy of love and devotion that continues to inspire. He leaves behind his adoring daughters, Lynda (Powers) Rudolph and Kristen (McGonigle) Keenan, along with their respective spouses, Dennis Rudolph and Emily Keenan. His grandchildren, Dennis, Aiden, Shea, Madison, and Lucas, were the joy of his later years, and he treasured every moment spent in their company.
Kevin's favorite pastimes included golfing with his friends, dinner dates with his love Nancy, and their annual trips to Aruba. The Lakeville Country Club, Playa Linda, and just about every restaurant on the South Shore were his favorite places to be.
Kevin's legacy is one of love, dedication, and warmth. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday June 29, 2024, at the home of Kristen and Emily, 153 Britton Avenue in Stoughton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin's memory may be made to Hospice Services of Massachusetts, 10 Riverside Drive, Suite 201, Lakeville, MA 02347.
