John B. Reardon

John B. “Jack” Reardon, a longtime Stoughton resident, formally of Falmouth, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, October 6, 2019, surrounded by his loving daughters. He was 77 years old. He was the devoted husband of the late Janet H. Reardon, who passed away in 2008. They were  married on October 12, 1969 in The First Congregational Church of Falmouth, Massachusetts. 

Mr. Reardon is also survived by his three loving daughters, Anne B. Reardon of Falmouth, Amy P. Reardon-Fougere of Stoughton, April J. Brown of Peabody, and his son, Christopher Hayes of Worcester.  

Other survivors include his grandchildren, John Reardon Fougere and Charles Avery Fougere of Stoughton, and Brittney B. Donovan of Peabody.  Jack had several nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his brother David Reardon of Falmouth and both of his parents.

Mr. Reardon was born in Boston on March 27, 1942.  He was the cherished son of the late U.S.A.F Tech Sargent Malcolm B. Reardon, and Louise (Ironside) Reardon of Falmouth. He attended The University of Colorado in Boulder where he received his Bachelors of Arts. Mr. Reardon was an Operations Distribution Manager for The Boston Globe for 20 years and retired in 2008. Jack loved to read, travel, and spend time his family on Cape Cod.  He loved animals and cared for many family dogs, cats, and birds in his lifetime. John also loved music. He attended and was an active member of The First Parish Universalist Church in Stoughton.

A memorial service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00pm in The First Parish Universalist Church, 790 Washington Street, Stoughton.  The Reverend Sarah Napoline officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MSPCA of Boston, 350 South Huntington Ave Boston, MA 02130 in Jack's memory would be appreciated.
