James Daley passed away on November 22, 2024, in Brockton, Massachusetts. He was 74 years old and a son to the late William Daley and Olive (Babineau) Daley. His survivors include his nephew Francis A. Elms and wife Lynne of Stoughton, his niece Doris A. Elms of Stoughton and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was also a brother to the late Doris A. Elms and William Daley and an uncle to the late Rand V. Elms. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mr. Daley was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 2, 1949, and attended Boston Public Schools. He enjoyed professional wrestling, woodworking and had a great interest in bird watching the Cardinal being his favorite. Jimmy was employed as a machinist by the former Kinney Vacuum company for 20 years.
Visiting hours to celebrate James’s life will be held on Monday December 2, 2024, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. A graveside funeral service and burial will be held on Tuesday December 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury, MA (NOTE: Funeral procession forming at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and leaving promptly at 10:15 a.m. Thank you.) ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice in Jim’s memory would be appreciated.
