Gloria Mary (Marsden) Simpson of Stoughton, formerly of South Boston and Florida passed away on April 17, 2020. She was 86 years old and the beloved wife of over 60 years to the late James M. Simpson Sr. who preceded her in passing back in 2014. She is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughter Karen Lampert and husband Mark of Randolph her sons, James M. Simpson Jr. and Kim Vo of Quincy, Thomas Simpson and wife Beverly of Taunton, William Simpson and wife Maria of Providence, Rhode Island, her 10 grandchildren, Colleen, James M. Simpson III, Jessica, Daniel, Rachel, Thomas, Amy, Erica, Alexandra, Derek, her 8 great-grandchildren, Brian, James M. Simpson IV, Jaxson, Daniel, Anna, Dylan, Luke and Jake. She is also survived by her sister Shirley M. Marsden of Pennsylvania and was also a sister to the late Allen F. Marsden.
Born November 29, 1933 in Lowell, Massachusetts Gloria was a daughter to the late Bernard A. Marsden and Florence G. (O’Neil) Marsden. At age 7 she moved with her family to South Boston where she met the love of her life Jimmy. Mrs. Simpson was employed for many years as a Telephone Operator for the former New England Telephone Co. Her hobbies included baking, making quilts, knitting and crocheting.
All funeral services will be private at this time. Donations can be made in Gloria’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
