Emanuel S. Moniz

Emanuel S. “Manny” Moniz, a resident of Braintree, formerly of Avon, MA, passed away on Monday June 10, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his children, Nikayla Moniz, Antonio Moniz, Ashelyn Moniz and his longtime companion, caretaker and best friend Patricia ‘Patty” Mann. Other survivors include his mother Madalena (Sebastiao) Moniz, his sisters, Rosa Pedro and her husband Joe Pedro, Marta Moniz, Nelia Buckley and her husband Kevin Buckley, Lucia Norberg and her husband Eric Norberg, Helena Moniz. Nieces, Casey, Emma, Tania, Stephanie, Karina, Nephews, Joe, Mario, Alex, Kyle, Nick, Danny, Peter, great nephew, Xander and even though he had no grandchildren of his own he considered Caiden, Olivia and Matt his and he also considered Kayla as another one of his daughters. He was also a son to the late Antonio S. Moniz.

Born December 25, 1967 in San Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Emanuel was a self – employed construction worker and Painting Company Owner. He was also a member of The Club Luis De Camoes in Stoughton. Manny will forever be remembered for his willingness to help those in need. He and Patricia donated coloring books to the less fortunate residents in Brockton, MA, delivered Thanksgiving dinners to the elderly and also donated their time to making others lives more enjoyable through their acts of kindness. Manny will be missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 14, 2019 from 4P.M. - 7:30 P.M. with a prayer service to follow at the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Cremation to follow. A memorial committal of cremains will be held at a later date.
