Dan Davis Obituary

Dan Davis better known as Roy, passed away on the 5th of April, at the age of 74.

Dan was born on the Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines on August 23rd, 1945 to Nelson Blanc and Eunice Davis. Dan attended Belair and Richmond Hill Public schools. After graduation he proceeded a career in plumbing. After working as a plumber, he then joined a combo band by the name of Richards Brothers. He traveled the world with them and lived in many other Caribbean countries playing the Tumba drums. Upon his return to St. Vincent he met a pretty young lady whom he instantly fell in love with. When he met her, he asked her if she had a boyfriend and she replied no. He then told her he would like to be her boyfriend. She then asked him how old he was. She didn’t believe his age so the next morning he showed up with his passport in his pocket to prove his age. The rest is history. Dan and Venus migrated to the U.S. and lived in Boston, where they got married.

The union produced two children, Kensly Davis of Brockton, MA, and Lesa Davis of Stoughton, MA. They then moved to Stoughton where they lived for forty two years. Dan was the proud father of of Eyan Wilfred of St. Lucia,  Gideon Davis of Hyde Park, MA and Lydia Davis-Bynoe of Brooklyn, NY.

His other survivors include his mother Eunice Davis, his wife Venus Davis, Grandchildren: David Whalen Jr., Nathan Whalen, Isabella Kyller, Silk, Mya and Nash Wilfred. Rogarico, Arielle, Jamari Davis. Sisters: Cynthia Fraser, Diana Davis, Cleopatra Davis. And his brother Earlrick Davis.

Roy will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he Rest In Peace.
