Charles R. Silva of Stoughton, died Wednesday June 14th, at approximately 1:00 PM., at age 86. He was raised in Taunton. He was husband to Mary Silva for 59 years. He is survived by his only offspring, Charles A. Silva who was born in Somerville, raised in Stoughton, (at 210 Willow St.), and now resides in New London, MO. He also has 1 niece, Cheryl Plogger of Berkley, 3 nephews, Jim, Curly, and Danny Flint all in Taunton. His sister Ruthie Dennen, also of Taunton, is the only remaining child of George and Ruthie Silva. Special thanks goes out to his friends and neighbors who helped him out after his wife Mary passed away from Covid in 2021. I am sure all his trucker friends on the road will miss him greatly. Some of his hobbies included ship building, which he loved, and playing lead guitar in many country and western bands. He was a jolly soul, and will be missed by many people, included is Roger P. Williamson also from MO. Take care Dad. At least you are with mother now.
