Brendan Philip Myers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brendan Philip Myers after a short illness.
  
Brendan was born on December 7, 1961 (my mother used to joke she could have named him Pearl) in Brockton, MA. Brendan grew up in Stoughton, MA.  Brendan was the sixth child of Charles J. and Maureen T. (Coffey) Myers.  He was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Roberta (Bobbie).  He leaves behind his siblings Gerard (Lauri), Brian (Marlene), Stephanie Walsh, Leslie Strong and Martha Myers.  He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Kate Myers (Eric Benson), Molly Myers, Kelsey Myers, Joseph Myers, Brendan Myers, Zachary Myers, Justin Walsh, Emily Walsh (Jessica), Maggie Walsh, Laura Viola Maccarone (Greg), Joseph Zucco, Harrison Zucco and Sophia Zucco.  Left behind are also grandnieces and grandnephews, Issac Benson, Max Maccarone, Grayson Maccarone, Charlie Maccarone, Nora Jones, Parker Walsh, Emery Walsh and Belen Walsh. 

Brendan lived for a time in San Diego, CA, Easton, MA, St. Petersburg, FL and Citrus Heights, CA.  He cherished the ten years he spent in St. Petersburg.  Brendan had a creative side, starring in school plays and musicals in High School.  Brendan played the lead role of Emcee in the musical Cabaret, winning an award at the Southeast Festival.  He belonged to the Thespian Society and was an actor in his freshman year winning in the Tournament of Plays.  He was a valued member of the jazz choir and part of the Mixed Chorus.  He will be well remembered as a respected Manager at McDonalds in Stoughton, MA. 

He used his time in Florida to self-publish numerous books (which can be found on Amazon).  The book "Sumner Gardens," though fiction, encapsulates his childhood as a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Altar Boy.  Sumner Gardens was the name of the development we all grew up in, in Stoughton, MA, about 20 miles south of Boston.  Another of his books, “Truck Story” showcased his love of the Red Sox (with a nod to his nephews Joseph and Harrison).  Brendan’s novelette ‘Adamson’s Rock’ received an Honorable Mention in the Writers of the Future contest.  His short stories have appeared in several anthologies. 
Thank you to his second family at the 7-11 in Citrus Heights, CA.  Brendan cherished your friendship.
