Barbara Ann Bingamon Obituary

Barbara A. Bingamon of Stoughton, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23,

following a period of failing health. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Bingamon

for over 60 years. Barbara was raised and educated in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Hyde

Park High School. Following their marriage, she and Bob settled in Stoughton where they raised

their three children. Barbara worked for several years at Morse Shoe and Lyne Laboratories.

She was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church of Stoughton, where she

served faithfully. Barbara loved Cape Cod and the ocean, as well as reading, gardening,

listening to country music, and spending time with her grandchildren. In their younger years, she

and Bob enjoyed traveling the country via road trips with their children. Barbara is survived by

her loving children, David and his fiance Kerry Durso, Robin Harris and her husband David, and

Cynthia Celia and her husband George. She is also survived by five grandsons, four great

grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Priscilla West and the

late Elinor Weston. Barbara was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed by all who

knew her. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at the First Congregational Church of

Stoughton, 76 Pierce Street, Stoughton, MA on Thursday, July 1, at 2:00 PM. Relatives and

friends are respectfully invited to attend. For the safety of all guests, masks are requested for

those who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s
