Arnold I. Smith

Arnold I. Smith a longtime resident of Stoughton passed away at home peacefully surrounded by  his loving family on Thursday October 22, 2015. He was 80 years old and the beloved husband of the late Dolores L. “Dolly” (Jones) Smith. He was the devoted father of his fantastic daughter, Donna Carla Smith and her spouse Peter Dolliver of Brockton, a wonderful son Walter B. Smith of Stoughton and a very unique and much loved son Joseph F. Smith also of Stoughton. Arnold will also be missed by the two lights of his life, granddaughter Jacquelyn Adeline and grandson Robert P. Smith.

Mr. Smith was born in Boston,Massachusetts on February 7, 1935 and was the loving son of the late Joseph H. and Ettamary (Bates) Smith. Arnold served as the Chairman of the Stoughton Board of Health and was also a longtime Stoughton Town Meeting Member.

At his request, all services will be private and donations in Arnold’s memory  are welcome to be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway 14th Floor, NY, NY 10004.
