Olivia M. (Mendonca) Lima, a long time resident of Stoughton, passed away in her home on September 2, 2018. She was 86 years old and the wife of the late Horacio DeLima. She is survived by her children Noel Lima and Lucy Lima both of Stoughton. She is also survived by her sister Maria A. Avelar of Stoughton, her sister in-law Rita Mendonca of Stoughton, her grandson Andrew Lima, and great-granddaughter Brooklyn Lima of Stoughton, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a sister to the late Filipe Mendonca and Julia Costa.
Born Feburary 13, 1932 in Flores, Azores, Portugal, Olivia was the daughter of the late Joao' F. Mendonca and Olivia (Leonard) Mendonca. She was employed for over 26 years as an assembler for the former electronics company, Datel. Olivia’s hobbies included cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a communicant and attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2018 from 5 P.M.- 7 P.M. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Her funeral mass will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street Stoughton, MA. Burial will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
