Latasha Burt

Latasha M. “Tasha” Burt of Springfield, formerly of Stoughton and Boston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 10, 2017 at the BayState Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. She was 44 years old and a beloved daughter of the late Roslyen Benson, Curtis Lucas and Mary L.Burt. Her survivors include her loving children, Raechon Burt- Epps of Sharon, Destiny Burt- Saunders and Damien Burt- Saunders of Springfield and her longtime companion Damien Saunders also of Springfield and her siblings, Mildred D. Anderson of Providence, RI, Alice L. Kubacki and husband Michael of York, ME, the late Shirley Allen of Boston,MA, Joyce E. Henderson and husband Mark of Foxboro, MA Sandra Navarro of El Paso, TX, Brenda Mayfield – Burt of Durham, NC, Shikena Burt and fiance Geoff Stanton of Waltham, MA, Channele Benson of Boston,MA, Augustavus Benson of Boston,MA and Anthony Burt of Manlius,NY.

Latasha was born February 21, 173 in Boston, Massachusetts, she attended and was a 1992 graduate of Stoughton High School. She also obtained several upper level certifications throughout her working career. She had also been employed as a Recovery Specialist at a mens addiction treatment center where she exuded an incredible work ethic and her co-workers were extremely fond of her. Latasha was a loving and proud mother to her children as well as her foster children of whom she cared for. She was also supportive of her siblings and family members throughout their endeavors. Her hobbies included shopping, fashion, music and family gatherings. Latasha loved to spoil her friends and family with her outstanding cooking skills. Sunday dinners and Super Bowl feasts were her specialty. “Tasha” will be forever remembered for her “CRAZY” laugh and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 9:30 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. In the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. ALL  ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Interment will be private at a later date.
