George Aloysius Climo Jr. a longtime resident of Stoughton, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 79 years old and the beloved husband of Alice T. (Edgehille) Climo. He is also survived by his loving children, Theresa A. Kearns and her husband Mark, Mary E. Mackiewicz and her husband David, Jean M. Galanis, Diane M. Climo and George A. Climo III and his wife Jennifer. He was also a loving father to the late Patricia A. Climo. Mr. Climo was also the cherished grandfather to, Tony Constantine and wife Vail, Kimberly Constantine, Elizabeth Wagner and her husband Michael, Mark Constantine, Gregory Monroe Jr., Nicholas Galanis, Alexander Galanis and great-grandfather to, Arianna Ferrier, Aiden Ferrier, Damien Constantine, Tony Constantine, Michael Wagner Jr. and Cody Aloysius Constantine. He was also a brother to the late Kenneth Villane, Jeanette Duffy, and Thomas Climo. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Born January 18, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Climo was a son to the late George A. Climo Sr. and Esther (Villani) Climo. He attended Boston Public Schools. George was the proud owner of The G.A. Climo and Son Construction and Trucking Co. Inc. in Stoughton. He was also a proud member of the Teamsters Union. George will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday June 17, 2019 from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Burial will follow the funeral home service at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
