Eleanor was born on February 26, 1934 in Burrillville, RI. She took many years of piano lessons as a child. Later, she got a scholarship to The Conservatory of Music where she studied for 2 years. In high school she was an excellent student, on the staff of the school newspaper, as well as being involved in some published writing projects. When they started a family, she stopped working until they moved their family to Stoughton nearly 50 years ago. Eleanor worked for over 25 years as an elementary school secretary. After her retirement, she and Walter were long-time volunteers for the Stoughton Senior Center where they worked the weekly bingo games and delivered Meals on Wheels. Eleanor enjoyed playing the piano through much of her adult life. She was an avid Red Sox fan and collected Lladro figurines. Eleanor enjoyed Sudoku puzzles, playing solitaire, and reading.
