Daniel A. “Ludgerio” Costa, a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 69 years old and the husband of over 47 years to Adelia M. Costa of Stoughton. Other survivors include his two sons, Danny Costa and wife Katelyn of Bridgewater and Nicholas J. Costa of Stoughton, his grandchildren, Julia Costa and Timothy Costa also of Bridgewater, his two brothers, James Costa and wife Isilda of Stoughton and Carlos Costa and wife Genevieve of Stoughton. He was also a brother to the late Estela Avila.
Born July 2, 1949 in Faial, Acores, Portugal, Ludgerio was a son to the late Daniel Luis Costa and Maria doCarmo (Ataide) Costa. He was employed as a Produce Attendant by Shaw's Supermarket for over 30 years. He was a communicant and attended The Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. Daniel was also a member the New Bedford Faialense Club and the Clube Luis de Camoes in Stoughton.
Visiting hours have been omitted. His funeral mass will be held on Thursday September 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Rt. 27, Stoughton. All are welcome to attend. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
