Alan R Campbell

Alan R. Campbell, a pilot and longtime resident of Bridgewater, formerly of Stoughton passed away at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton after a short illness on Saturday August 20, 2016. He was 61 years old and a beloved son to Audrey E. (Morrill) Campbell of Bridgewater and the late George A. Campbell. He is also survived by his wife Pamela Campbell of Easton, his loving sister Dyanne C. Gardiner of Quincy and her late husband Gerald of Quincy, his son Shane Campbell of Easton, his daughter Holly Loring and her husband Peter of North Chelmsford and his nephew Timothy D. Gardiner of Watertown. Other survivors include many friends, co-workers and extended family members.

Alan was born August 24, 1954 in Norwood, Massachusetts. He later attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a 1972 graduate of Stoughton High School. Al was employed as a mechanic for many years in the family business Campbell’s Auto and Radiator Repair in Brookline, Massachusetts. Later he drove delivery trucks for Lowe’s and Belmont Springs. His hobbies included boating, spending time by the ocean and flying small engine aircraft. Al was also a social member of the American Legion Post. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

At his request, visiting hours have been omitted and a public graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. in the family lot at Maplewood Cemetery, 900 Pleasant Street, Route 139, North Stoughton. The Rev. Rebecca L. Cho, officiating. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Al’s memory to the American Legion Post #405, 291 Mill Street, Raynham,MA 02767.
