Deborah A. Ruggiero

Deborah A. (Bishop) Ruggiero passed away at her home in Onset with her loving family by her side. She was 82 years old and the beloved wife of over 59 years to Brandison V. Ruggiero. She was the loving mother to Amy Beth (Ruggiero) Hughes and husband Chris Hughes of Buzzard’s Bay, Matthew  B. Ruggiero and wife Kristen Ruggiero of Middleboro, a sister to the late Edward Bishop and wife Francine Bishop of Raynham and a cherished grandmother to her five grandchildren, Conor B. Hughes, Cloe E. Hughes, Hailey DeMedeiros and husband Bryan, Bella M. Ruggiero, Matthew J. Ruggiero. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Born April 3, 1941 in Stoughton, Massachusetts, Debby was a daughter to the late Edward Bishop and Ellen (Hinds) Bishop. She attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. She also continued her education at Simmons College in Boston.  Mrs. Ruggiero was employed at the former MA Hospital School in Canton, the former Roxie’s Supermarket in Stoughton for many years and also enjoyed working as a Home Health Aide assisting the elderly in many aspects over the years.

“Debby enjoyed living on the water with her husband Brandison for many years accompanied by her two children Amy and Matthew. She loved spending time with her grandchildren at the beach house on Onset Bay. She was also loved by her neighbors at Nanumett Shores. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in sweetest peace.”

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at 12noon from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Interment will follow in the family lot at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral service from 10 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
