Walter C MankMay 27, 1957 ~ July 18, 2016 (age 59)
Walter C. Mank, a United States Army Veteran and resident of Stoughton for over 20 years, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday July 18, 2016. He was 59 years old and the loving father of Natasha Mank of Stoughton, Heather Cheever SPD and her husband James of Stoughton and Holly Kasputis and her husband Patrick also of Stoughton. Other survivors include Dawn M. Hewins of Stoughton, his sister in-law Chris Mank of Camden, Maine, his niece, Leanna Parisi of Connecticut, and several other extended family members throughout the New England area. He was also a brother to the late Martha Mank, Edward Mank, William Mank, Joseph Mank and an uncle to the late Victor Mank.
Born May 27, 1957 in Lawrence, Massachusetts Walter was a son to the late Edward J. and Stella M. (Kozlowski) Mank. Walter attended and was a 1975 graduate of the Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts where he received his diploma in Culinary Arts.
Mr. Mank enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1979. Walter was employed as a Food Service Supervisor at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Brockton for over 20 years. His hobbies included cooking, fishing and travelling to the state of Maine to be with family. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2016 from 4 P.M. - 6:45 P.M. with funeral prayers and United States Army Funeral Military Honors to follow at 7 P.M. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stoughton Veteran’s Services Office, 10 Pearl Street, Stoughton,MA 02072 in Walter’s memory, would be appreciated.
