Loretta H. Davis

Loretta H. (LePine) Davis a resident of Stoughton for over 59 years, formerly of Rockland passed away peacefully with her two loving daughters by her side at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham on Saturday July 25, 2015. She was 84 years old and the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Davis Sr. to whom she was married to for over 50 years.

Born July 7, 1931 in Rockland, Massachusetts Loretta was one of four daughters born to the late Charles and Marilda (Banville) LePine. She attended Rockland Public Schools and was a graduate of Rockland High School. Mrs. Davis was employed  by the Stop & Shop Supermarkets in Brockton and Rockland for over 32 years and was affectionately known as the “CHIEF” by her co-workers for her dedicated and hard work ethic.

Loretta’s hobbies included playing golf and spending winters in her Bradenton, Florida home with family and friends. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jacquelyn M. Davis of Stoughton, Joanne Petersen and her husband Richard of Kingston, her 3 sisters, Rita Estey of Abington, Eva Gallant and her husband James of Hanover, Bettyann Hines and her husband George of Rockland, and her two grandchildren, Justine Malone and husband Robert of Kingston and Courtney Petersen also of Kingston. Mrs. Davis was also a loving mother to the late Donald A. David Jr. who passed away in 2012’.

At her request, all funeral services will be private and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Donations in Loretta’s memory can be made to the Pat Roche Hospice House, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham, MA 02043.
