Josephine A. Interrante

Josephine A. (DiMino) Interrante a resident of Stoughton since 1960 and formerly of Boston’s North End passed away on Monday September 14, 2015. She was 81 years old and the beloved wife of over 58 years to Donald G. Interrante. She is survived by her loving children, Donna M. Pattison and her husband Michael of Bradenton, Florida, Jo-Ann Signori and her husband Steve of Stoughton and Lori K. (Interrante) Langer also of Stoughton. Other survivors include her cherished grandchildren, Specialist Donald G. Signori  U.S. Army Ret. and his wife Amanda of Sharon, Christopher Signori of Groton, CT. , Steven Signori U.S. Coast Guard / USCGC  Elm, of Atlantic Beach, NC, Gia Johnson and husband Ryan of Abington, Jesse Moore of Groton, CT. , Danny Interrante of Hampton, Virginia, Jonathan Moore of Bradenton, Florida, Joseph Pozerski of Kingston, Katie Pozerski of Manhattan, New York, her great-granddaughter Arianna Johnson of Abington and her sisters, Catherine Graffeo and Mary Delaney both of Boston’s North End. She was also a sister to the late Lillian Bono and Joseph DiMino.

Born May 10, 1934 in  Boston, Massachusetts, Josephine was a daughter to the late Charles and Grace (Indelicato) DimIno. She attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of the former Julia Billiard Catholic High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper  for over 10 years by the Jackson Glass Co. in Boston and later by the Town of Stoughton’s Police Department as a Crossing Guard for over 15 years,  where she safely protected the public and it’s children at the corner of Pearl and Central Streets.  Her family was the focus of her life and she looked forward to Sunday dinners and cooking for all her beloved family.  Mrs. Interrante was a communicant and attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton and was a very active and dedicated member of parish ministry. She was a Eucharistic Minister for over 20 years and faithfully administered service to those in need at the Copley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. Josephine was also a former Girl Scout Leader and a former member of The Daughter’s of Italy. She was an avid walker and was affectionately known as Marjorie Roads “Walking Lady” She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 17, 2015 from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Her funeral will be held on Friday September 18, 2015 at 9:30 A.M. from the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial for the repose of her soul at 10:30 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Stoughton. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Josephine’s memory to the 2015’ Neponset Valley Walk to End  Alzheimer’s,  C/O JeJe’S JOURNEY (Jo-Ann Signori), 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown,MA 02472.
