Honorata F "Nora" Tomposki

August 23, 1919 ~ March 30, 2016 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Honorata F. “ Nora” (Plaskochinski) Tomposki of Quincy, formerly of Brockton, passed away at home surrounded by her children after a brief illness, on Wednesday March 30, 2016. She was 96 years old and the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Tomposki who passed away in 1963. Her survivors include her loving children, Mary Jay Combs and her husband Jay of San Francisco, Philip Tomposki and his wife Donna of Newport, Rhode Island, Robert Tomposki of Boston and Monique Mulbry and her husband Matthew of Coburg, Oregon, her two grandchildren, Michael James Combs of Petaluma, CA, Laurel Taylor Combs of Flagstaff, AZ and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also a sister to the late Chester Plasko, Mary Plaskochinska, John Grabowski and Adele Majorowski.

Born August 23, 1919 in Boston, Massachusetts, Nora was a daughter born to the late Walter and Josephine (Roskov) Plaskochinski. She attended trade school and became a very talented seamstress. Nora also went to school evenings to earn her GED. She was employed by the former Frilly Filly Bridal Shop in Brockton and was also employed as a waitress by the former Christo’s Restaurant. Nora attended and was a communicant of the former Our Lady of The Rosary Church in Stoughton. She was a very dedicated volunteer and assisted with many of the church activities especially the annual Parish Shows. Other hobbies included sewing, handiwork and crafts, reading and listening to all types of music. Nora was also a proud and active member of TOPS. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday April 3, 2016 from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. in the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington Street, Rt. 138,Easton. Her funeral mass will be held on Monday April 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. from Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 655 Dorchester Avenue, South Boston. NOTE: (ALL WHO ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE FUNERAL MASS ARE REQUESTED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH). THANK YOU. Cremation will follow and her interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope 4 Women International, PO Box 8061, Tempe, AZ 85281, ATTN: Dress A Girl Around The World or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis,TN 38105 in Nora’s memory, would be appreciated.
